Laureate Albert Park is a Mirvac project situated on the border of Albert Park and Port Melbourne. It is the ideal family-friendly townhouses as they are within the Albert Park College zone, the Farmers Market and two blocks away from the beach.
The Mirvac project required a high-end, low-energy design for prospective residents within budget. In 2010, Bluelab Design were approached to help produce the lighting products whilst keeping minimal energy consumption from lighting.
Mirvac designed many of the products which has become the signature pieces of the townhouses. Bluelab Design took these designs and made them a reality. The pieces we were involved in is the bathroom mirror light, external marine grade wall light, internal stair light and bedroom up-light.
We were able to keep the power usage per townhouse under 5W per square metre. Not only did we produce a low-energy design solution, but it is aesthetically harmonious with its contemporary design and city style.
The approval process was drawn out which made the manufacturing schedule tight. However we were able to supply Mirvac for Laureate on time, within budget and with a 2% defect.
It was a huge success for Mirvac and Laureate Albert Park is considered high-end townhouses with exceptional city views.
