Ballers Clubhouse Carlton
Lighting design, luminaire design and supply.
Bluelab Design was appointed by Woven North Building and Interior Designers to design, manufacture and supply lighting for Ballers Clubhouse chain of venues. Carlton in Melbourne’s busy CBD being the first venue with Woven North and Bluelab Design. An ambitious playful, busy theme of bold colors, decals, neon signs mixed with automated games – dart boards, shuffle tables, ball pit ping pong. A great deal of planning and clever design was needed to maintain ambience and a comfortable level of lighting without detracting from any of the design elements.
Woven North provided excellent story boards and designs including custom pieces being VERY large oval shades over the shuffle tables. Bluelab Design designed a black aluminium frame that was covered in ‘Highland Loch’ by Materialised and lined in black cotton. These frames cleverly concealed black Linear continuous LED over shuffle table lights, with glare control grills.
Added to the feature shades, concealed LED Neon strip lighting was neatly concealed into the custom cabinetry by Bespoke Timber Design.
Bluelab Design collaborated with Bespoke Timber Design to create magical pieces designed by Woven North.
Ballers Clubhouse Carlton was project managed by a creative owner with a tendency to make creative design changes on the run. Keeping up with the changes became a full time job and stressful trying to keep the supply schedule for the construction team. Without a novated Electrical Engineer on the project, Bluelab design’s years of commercial lighting experience came into play.
Added to the myriad of design elements at Ballers Clubhouse Carlton, ETAP Lighting K9 black Exits and Emergencies discreetly supporting the project with EST+ self testing and self-diagnosing feature.
Ballers Clubhouse Carlton is a creative play centre with great cocktails and lighting.
