St Patrick’s Primary School Upgarde featuring ETAP R7
Mark Sanders of Third Ecology Architects Geelong needed a energy efficient lighting for St Patrick’s Primary. Mark contacted Bluelab Design to help.
St Patrick’s dates back to 1911 and many of the buildings are heritage listed. Bluelab’s brief from Mark was to create comfortable learning spaces in the older building with sufficient lighting levels, low glare and an energy efficient solution without blowing the budget.
The class rooms have high ceilings, plenty of natural daylight (on a sunny day) and light coloured walls and ceilings. Bluelab Design suggested the ETAP’s R723 with upward lighting component, incorporating daylight sensors in key luminaires and slaves throughout the balance of the lighting.
The R7/U7 range is highly efficient, sleek in design with a slim line body (15mm high). The real beauty in this product is the LED-LENS technology which minimizes the light loss between LED and the lens and within the actual lens resulting in high efficiency low glare (up to 135lm/W UGR16-19). The R7/U7 have various light distributions medium, wide and asymmetric.
St Patrick’s Primary School can enjoy effortless, controlled lighting in their class rooms for years to come. ETAP offer a 5 year warranty on all products. U7 and R7 fittings retain up to 98% of their illuminance after 50’000 burning hours (LLMF – Lamp Lumen Maintenance Factor).
